The Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum and Revolution 250 will partner with the community of Providence, Rhode Island to place a commemorative grave marker at the grave of John Spurr, recognizing him as a participant in the event known as the Boston Tea Party on December 16, 1773.
The ceremony will take place on Thursday August 31st at 11:00am.
The ceremony will begin promptly at 11:00 am in Swan Point Cemetery with remarks by community officials, representatives from the Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum, and Revolution 250.

This outdoor free public event is part of a nationwide collaborative effort to place commemorative markers at the graves of known Boston Tea Party Participants in anticipation of the upcoming 250th anniversary of the Boston Tea Party in 2023.
